Hair Oils
A styling product recommended by any hair aficionado is definitely – Hair oil. But wait…don’t we go out of our way to AVOID oily hair?
Well these products contain good oils, the ones that are stripped away when you shampoo, condition, colour and style your hair. Hair oils are designed to nourish, protect and assist when styling your hair – in fact most people find they can bin all of their old styling products as hair oils can replace your leave-in conditioner, frizz serum, styling creams and shine sprays. Botanical oils, plant and fruit extracts plus a combination of vitamins and minerals repair split ends, tame frizz, hydrate, detangle, restore shine and make hair more manageable and easy to style.

Select an oil which is best suited to your hair type. Some heavier oils can weigh down fine hair and leave it looking greasy.
Check the instructions on the label of your hair oil for individual application tips. There are several ways to use hair oil; some can be used as a pre-wash treatment to moisturise and hydrate your hair and others can be used after you have washed your, while it’s still damp, to tame frizz, add shine and assist with styling.
To use hair oil as a deep hydrating treatment, apply before your shower and spend 10-15 massaging the oil into the roots and scalp. Warming the oil prior to application or wrapping your head in a warm towel will open up the hair cuticles and allow deeper penetration. You can also leave hair oil on overnight (with a towel/scarf to protect your pillow!) and wash your hair thoroughly the next day for deep repair.
If you are applying hair oil after your usual hair washing routine, begin from about 1/4 of the way down the hair shaft, focusing mainly on the hair ends which can be split, dry and brittle. Avoid using too much oil on the roots and scalp as it can pool, and give your hair a greasy unwashed look. Comb hair oil through to distribute and style as normal.
You can use hair oil as an every day styling product, or once a week as a luxurious conditioning treatment. Either way, your hair will thank you!
